Ryan Kent’s first-half goal was enough to give Steven Gerrard’s Rangers victory away at Aberdeen on the opening day of the 2020-21 Scottish Premier League.
Kent was played through on goal midway through the first-half and slotted the ball past Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis in what proved to be the only goal of the game.
After a tepid first-half showing, the home side improved after the interval, with their best chance coming through a goalmouth scramble which nearly resulted in the ball crossing the line.
