Gemma Collins laments having to make her own bed and says she’s starting to look like Rod Stewart

Gemma Collins has shared some of her stories from lockdown amid the current coronavirus crisis.

Appearing on Scott Mills and Chris Stark’s Radio 1 show on Wednesday, the GC, 39, admitted she’s struggling to do her own chores around the house, because she’s so used to it being done for her.

She also lamented the fact that she can’t keep up with her weekly pampering and beauty regimen and revealed that she has tried her hand at PE with Joe Wicks.

She said: ‘Part of my life routine is getting three massages a week, spray tan, nails, hair… I’ve had to start blow drying my own hair.

‘I’m rocking a bob, I’ve got no extensions in, the hair is growing. It’s very strong. Rod Stewart eat your heart out, I’m rocking a mullet but to be honest I can’t wait for this to be over.’

Discussing her domestic chores, she went on: ‘I’m all up to date with my washing, I even took out my own iron. I’ve not ironed for three years and I’ve not made a bed for about five years, so yeah move over Mrs Hinch because the GC is becoming a pro.

‘I’m used to having it all done for me Mariah Carey-style but you know what, if it means staying home and saving lives the GC does what she’s gotta do.’

Gemma – who is isolating with her brother, her sister-in-law, her two nephews and her boxer dog – admitted she’s climbing the walls and that she will be leaving the house as soon as the lockdown comes to an end.

‘The minute quarantine is lifted, I don’t care if its two, three, four, five in the morning, I’m going out. I’ll be going somewhere and I’ll be the first one in the McDonalds drive-thru.

‘I’ll be heading to London, I wanna see the pigeons at Trafalgar Square. Do you just not think what are all the pigeons thinking around Trafalgar Square, where have all the humans gone?’

She revealed that she’s been going on hour-long bike rides having given up on online home workouts.

‘I’ve got super healthy in quarantine, I’ve been going on bike rides. I’ve been riding a bike for an hour a day,’ she said. ‘I did try Joe Wicks’ one, but on the TV it said to say Pikachu… Pokémon or something, I dunno…

‘Then I realised I was doing the kiddie version. Never went back to it.’

Gemma admitted she hates being by herself, and that isolating with her nephews means she has taken up the roll of teacher.

‘GC will never be alone, I can’t bear being alone. Marilyn didn’t like being alone and nor do I.

‘I’ve been home schooling the children because they’ve had to carry on with their work, you name it, I’ve done it… Geography, French, Spanish and Maths – I was terrible at the Maths though. Thank God I’m not at school anymore, it all seems a little bit more involved.

‘I’ve gotta be honest, algebra and all of that – why do they teach the kids algebra? Because when you leave school, you know you don’t really use it, I’ve never been asked an algebra question in my career.

‘But you know I’m all up for it, trying to help the kids, but secretly I’m Googling the answers behind their back and just making out I’m super intelligent.’

The TOWIE star declared that, if she were a real teacher, she’d do away with assemblies, start the day off playing Madonna and garage music to the children and then teach them about ‘who the GC is’.

Gemma also gave her latest insight into conspiracy theories – a topic she often address on her Radio 1 podcast, which returns for a third season in June.

‘I’d really like to go to Area 51, but I know they stop you at the gate. But when the GC rocks up in a big pink coat and a pink Cadillac I reckon I could convince Area 51 to let me in.

Gemma has previously spoken about how she believes London is inhabited by human-lizard hybrids who travel around underground and have direct access to Buckingham Palace.

Scott Mill’s Radio 1 show is on the air between 11 and 3PM, Mon-Thurs.
