Lily Allen shares sweet rare snap with daughter Ethel as she prepares to start homeschooling again

Lily Allen was seen preparing herself to kick off homeschooling again, after enjoying the Easter break with her children during the coronavirus lockdown.

The singer, 34, shared a sweet snap of herself and her eldest daughter Ethel, eight, cuddling up together to Instagram on Sunday, as she marked the last day of the school holiday.

And while Lily looked pretty relaxed at the thought of starting homeschooling again, little Ethel didn’t look so keen as she hilariously pulled a face for the camera.

The Smile hit-maker is also mum to daughter Marnie, seven, and shares both her girls with ex-husband Sam Cooper.

Lily has been sharing rare snaps of her children during their time together in lockdown and a few weeks ago, when the restrictions by the UK government were first put in place, she joked she had ‘aged 10 years’ in the first few days of being at home.

Posing with both Ethel and Marnie, Lily told fans via Instagram: ‘I’ve aged 10 years in as many days.’

She also shared how she was feeling during the current pandemic and admitted she was ‘scared’.

Lily said: ‘I’m tired and scared, but while we’re stuck inside for reasons beyond our control, it’s worth reminding ourselves that many families are driven FROM their homes, for a multitude of reasons, financial burdens, war, domestic violence, or even climate change.

‘We are very lucky really.’

In January 2019, Lily confirmed she had officially divorced Sam, two years after revealing their split. The pair first began dating in 2009 and later tied the knot in 2011.

Lily confirmed the official end of the pair’s five-year marriage in a candid interview on Loose Women.

The star said she shares a ‘very friendly’ relationship with Sam, and the pair have an unconventional custody agreement, where they take their daughters for alternative weeks at a time.

Lily said: ‘Me and my ex-husband share custody, a week on and a week off, which is useful for my work, when he’s got them, I can do that.’

She is now dating Stranger Things star David Harbour who is spending quarantine at home with Lily.

Lily and David confirmed their relationship in October last year, after speculation surfaced about their romance months before in August.

David was shooting Stranger Things in Atlanta prior to lockdown, but after the set was shut down earlier this month he jumped on a plane from his New York home to the UK to spend time with Lily.

The actor, who plays Jim Hopper in the popular TV series, admitted it was a ‘really bad situation’ for his mental health ‘to be quarantined alone’ in New York and so he decided to travel to be with his girlfriend.

He said: ‘I got an email from the producers saying we’re shutting down for a couple of weeks. We don’t know what any of this means. My hope is we get it up and running as soon as possible but I also suggested to Lily that season four should be animated.

‘My publisher also sent me an email saying Black Widow had been postponed and I think I replied “shocker.” Wouldn’t it be fun if we all could just stream it, but that’s above my pay grade.’

The couple had entertained fans by hosting an Instagram live, where they joked about rumours suggesting they are married and Lily admitted she likes to ‘pretend’ she and David are husband and wife.

‘We’re not married, I just want to make sure you know,’ she told her followers, with David then exclaiming: ‘But she is my wife.’

Lily, who has recently been sporting a diamond ring on her engagement finger, then added: ‘Yes we do pretend.’

Prior to her relationship with David, Lily had dated ex-boyfriend Meridian Dan for three years.
