With the ongoing NFL draft, both pundits were asked to build a team of current players to last for the next five years.

PSG striker Kylian Mbappe topped both their lists of talents for the next five years
‘He’s very close to being the best player in the world, I think that’s going to happen in the next two or three years,’ Carragher explained to Sky Sports.
CARRAGHER AND NEVILLE’S DRAFTS
Carragher: Kylian Mbappe, Virgil van Dijk, Erling Braut Haaland, Raheem Sterling, Lionel Messi, Kevin de Bruyne, Allison, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marcus Rashford, Frenkie De Jong.
Neville: Kylian Mbappe, Raphael Varane, Virgil van Dijk, Kevin de Bruyne, N’Golo Kante, Alisson, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Frenkie De Jong, Trent Alexander-Arnold.
‘You’ve got his ability, his pace, and obviously his age as well.’
However, the two had a differing opinion when it came to Barcelona forward and six-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi. Carragher explained he involved the Argentine because ‘he’s that good’ despite being 33 years old.
‘This draft is over five years, a lot of my players are a good age range to go over the next five years,’ he added. ‘Messi is 33 but he’s that good. He can still score goals walking around the pitch. The rest are all under 30.’
Another surprise came from former Manchester United captain Gary Neville, who picked five Liverpool players in his draft.
Only Carragher chose Barcelona star Lionel Messi despite him being 33 years old
Neville named Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Trent Alexander-Arnold in his team and justified it by stating that the Reds are ‘the best in Europe.’
‘If you look at Liverpool over the last three season, two Champions League finals, leading Premier League, our league has had a real resurgence and that’s come from Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino.
‘We’ve had the best managers in the world in the past three years and that’s driven us back to the top. Liverpool are the best in the league, the best in Europe,’ Neville said.
Both pundits surprisingly left out Borussia Dortmund wonderkid and England star Jadon Sancho in their ten-player lists. Neville warned that he thinks people are getting ‘carried away’ with Sancho’s hype.
Neville named five Liverpool players in his ten-player list as he stated they are ‘best in Europe’
‘To be honest with you, Jadon Sancho, I think we get carried away,’ he explained. ‘We have to remember the other players that exist. We are not the only country in the world.
‘You call it a golden generation but then you forget that other countries have got world stars. Jadon Sancho is nowhere near these players. He’s a talent but we can’t put him in this category with Messi.’
Carragher tipped Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford over Sancho and added: ‘I’ve seen him play more. He’s playing in one of the best clubs in the world. Dortmund is a level below the real elite. [Sancho] He’s the next one who’s going to get that move to England, either this summer or next summer.
‘If the Euros were happening this summer, I don’t think Sancho would get in the team. I think it’s more likely Rashford.’
There was no place in Carragher or Neville’s team for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho
